Academic Support in Housing
Although your home at ATI is a place to relax and play, it is also a place to study and learn. Our goal is to help students find a balance and maximize their academic experience on the ATI campus. The following are examples of the academic support provided in Housing:
- Staff will promote an environment conducive to learning and studying as well as living
- Community study spaces are available in the residence hall and Office of Housing building
- A computer lab is located in the Office of Housing building. Multiple computers are available with access to the web, printing, word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Staff will provide programming opportunities to help student learn effective study techniques, increase faculty- student interaction outside of the classroom and connect out of class learning with the students’ in-class experiences and future career paths
- Housing staff will help students get connected to the academic resources available on campus
Student Success Services
Student Success Services at ATI enhance and support the academic mission of the Institute while providing a dynamic out-of-class experience for students. Student Success Services is a centralized and coordinated set of academic/student support services designed to promote achievement of both educational and personal goals. The specific student-centered programs offered through Student Success Services include Counseling Services, Office for Disability Services, Peer Tutoring and Program EXCEL, which includes professional tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic mentor study groups and academic advising. A computer lab is also available in Student Success Services.
