Housing Contracts are processed in the order in which they are received. Room assignments are made four to six weeks before the quarter begins and all rooms are assigned to same-sex residents only. We fully consider each request for visitation pattern, lifestyle, roommate preferences and accommodations.
We begin mailing autumn housing contracts in April, based on the date students were admitted to the university. Contract materials for winter and spring will be mailed beginning in late October for winter and in late January for spring.
To apply to live at ATI, follow the contract material’s step-by-step instructions and return all contract information to us as soon as you can. New residents will need to send a space reservation fee of $200 and an application fee of $50 when you return your contract. On the contract, indicate your preference for roommates. While we can't promise you a specific assignment, the earlier we hear from you, the better your chances are.
In the application, you’ll have the chance to tell us a little bit about your academic interests and personal habits. If you have a health concern or disability that requires special assignment, please indicate on the contract and attach a letter with details.
NOTE: The state of Ohio has issued new requirements regarding students living in campus housing and vaccines for meningitis and hepatitis. Please see the contract for more information.
You can request a particular roommate or roommates when you complete your contract. You may have one to five roommates. We generally match mutually requested roommates provided requests are received by July 15.
We offer a variety of housing options at the ATI campus. All utilities, including cable service, are covered, so you can avoid the stress of arranging for hook-ups and monthly utility bills.
Notification of your assignment will be e-mailed to your Ohio State e-mail address in late August for autumn quarter, mid-December for winter quarter and mid-March for spring quarter.
Please Note: Ohio State ATI requires full-time first year students to live in campus housing if they do not live at home or qualify for exemption. Please see the Terms and Conditions section for detailed information on the exemption.
