Women in Engineering Learning Community
Program Overview:
Many students come to Ohio State to study engineering. To meet the demands of these students, University Housing offers three similar yet distinct Engineering Learning Communities:
- Engineering Focus Community in Steeb Hall
- Engineering Learning Community in Houck House
- Women in Engineering Learning Community in Houck House
Focusing on supporting the academic curriculum, University Housing partners with the College of Engineering to provide students a high-quality academic and social experience. Living with other students who are studying engineering gives you an opportunity to be part of a smaller community that will help you learn what it takes to be a successful engineer.
Benefits of this program include:
- Engineering design competitions
- In-hall tutoring for math and science curriculum
- Opportunities to interact with faculty, staff, and professionals in the engineering comunity
- Social events
- Special Women in Engineering events each quarter
