Although your home at Molyet Village is a place to relax and play, it is also a place to study and learn. The Housing staff’s goal is to help students maximize their academic experience on the Mansfield campus. The following are some of the academic support provided in Housing:
- Staff will promote an environment conducive to learning and studying as well as living.
- Community study space is available in the Office of Housing.
- Staff will provide programming opportunities to help student learn effective study techniques, increase faculty- student interaction outside of the classroom and connect out of class learning with the students’ in-class experiences and future career paths.
- Housing staff will help students get connected to the academic resources available on campus.
Academic Support Services on campus
Academic Support Services at Ohio State Mansfield enhances and supports the academic mission of the university while also providing a dynamic out-of-class experience for students. These programs are designed to promote achievement of both educational and personal goals.
The Conard Learning Center is designed to provide a dynamic learning environment and offers students the opportunity to maximize academic performance. A variety of academic supports are available in the center. Located in a contemporary addition to Bromfield Hall, the center offers two floors of resources, services, computers, study labs, and classrooms.
The first floor of the Conard Learning Center houses Academic Skill Enrichment, the Math Lab, the Office for Disability Services, and computers to assist students in meeting their educational goals.
On the second floor of the Conard Learning Center, two computer labs are available for academic assignments. With a current ID, all Ohio State students have computer access to Ohio State resources, including the Internet, e-mail, and the interlibrary loan system. Computer lab assistants are available to help students with computer-related questions. The second floor also has three classrooms, one of which is designed for two-way distance learning and two small study rooms are located near the computer lab.
The Writing Center provides students help with papers as well other communication projects.
