OSU vs. Michigan Blood Battle 2019

October 25, 2019

Since 1982 students, faculty and fans of OSU and Michigan have battled to take top honors in giving blood. The Blood Battle has grown into one of the largest blood competitions in the country with more than 2,400 donations given on each campus every year.

The 38th Annual Blood Battle between Ohio State and the University of Michigan will begin on Thursday, October 31, and runs through Wednesday, November 27. The contest is sponsored by the student organization Buckeye Blood Club and Versiti Blood Center of Ohio, the blood provider to the Wexner Medical Center. The Blood Battle kickoff blood drive is Thurs., Oct. 31, at the Ohio Union from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. The goal for the kickoff event, which will begin with Brutus Buckeye donating blood, is 100 donations. All Buckeye blood donors will receive a commemorative Blood Battle T-shirt, and will be entered to win two tickets to the big rivalry football game on Nov. 30 in Ann Arbor, with an overnight stay.
