Office Assistants (OAs)

Office Assistants (OAs) are often the first faces an individual will come in contact with in our residence halls. Responsible for creating the extraordinary student experience at each of our 24/7 front desk, OAs are responsible for greeting residents, guests and visitors as they enter/exit the building; ensure a high level quality of customer service; issue mail and packages; assist in resolving resident issues and creating a welcoming, inclusive front desk atmosphere.

OAs report directly to the Resident Manager and Hall Director(s) in their assigned complex or hall.

Returning Office Assistants

Many of our Returning OAs have experienced this process in a completely different fashion; therefore, we want to highlight the direct impact the new hiring process will have on Returning OAs:

  • Returning OAs must complete the returner OA application through eRezLife.
  • Returning OAs, pending a positive Spring 2018 OA evaluation, will be automatically approved to return as a 7-weeker or full-year OA to their current desk for Autumn 2018.
  • At this time, returning OAs will not be permitted to transfer desks during the spring hiring process. Returning OAs will be expected to complete at least the first 7 weeks of the Autumn 2018 term at their current desk. Returning OAs interested in transferring to a new desk will have the opportunity to transfer desks at the end of the first 7-weeks.

As our hiring process has changed significantly, we invite candidates to review the Frequently Asked Questions document posted in the ‘Documents’ section of this page on the right-hand side. Questions about the OA Hiring and Selection Process can be directed to
