Office Assistants (OAs)

OAs are responsible for greeting residents and visitors as they enter and exit the residence halls; providing high quality customer service; distributing mail and packages; are knowledgeable of campus resources and creating a welcoming, inclusive front desk atmosphere. OAs report directly to the Administrative Associate or Resident Manager and Hall Director(s)/Housing Coordinator in their assigned complex or hall. 


  • All OAs must work a minimum of 8 hours per week.  OAs will be expected to work nights and weekends. 
  • All candidates must obtain and maintain a 2.0 semester and cumulative G.P.A. through the entire hiring process and their time as an Office Assistant.
  • OAs must be enrolled as full-time students during their terms of employment and be in good standing with the University.
  • You must reside in an on-campus residential facility. Students living in Greek Housing are not eligible to be an OA for full academic year.

    • Upon logging in, you will need to complete your applicant profile. On the homepage, underneath the heading “Your job applications” – you will want to click on “View job positions”. There you will see the “OA Hiring – Fall 2020” application.
    • Please note: all completed applications will be reviewed. Due to the high capacity of applications received, not all candidates will be offered a position. Candidates who do not advance are welcome to re-apply for the OA position in the future.


  • New Office Assistants are compensated at an hourly rate of $8.70. Pay raises are awarded on an annual basis based upon years of service in the position.
