Creating the Extraordinary Student Experience: Office of Student Life
Through a close partnership with the College of Nursing, the program focuses on helping students like you succeed personally and academically during your time at Ohio State. During specialized activities, you will gain connections to faculty and staff in the College of Nursing, knowledge about how to apply to the nursing major at Ohio State and stay in touch with current trends and topics related to nursing and health professions. Further, living in a small community with other pre-nursing students taking the same classes as you will make it easier to form study groups and focus on succeeding academically. Overall, the Nursing and Wellness Innovations Learning Community provides students with the opportunity for academic support, career exploration and integrated social experiences.
“The connections made in the community have really made my experience as a new freshman easier and more comfortable. I’ve gotten to know the other people in my major very well. Being in the LC was like being a part of a family. We will learn and grow together through our college experiences. I’m so happy I was able to be a part of it.”
-Jennifer Bacigalupo
Please note that all students in Learning Communities are required to reside in a space within the Learning Community and live with other Learning Community participants. Learning Community students may only request roommates accepted into the same LC.
