How to Apply- Incoming Freshman (2017 High School grads)

Fall 2017:

Beginning in mid-March Student Life Housing Services will email students each week based on the date they paid their Acceptance Fee to the University.  Students will receive an e-mail sent to their OSU email accounts with details on how to apply for campus housing.  Students will be able to access their contract online; it is important to fully read the Terms and Conditions of your housing contract, as it is a leagally binding document that remains in effect for the entire term of the contract:

    For 2017 High School grads- the term of the contract is 2017-2018 Academic Year (8/19/17-5/2/18) and 2018-2019 Academic Year (8/18/18-5/1/19)**

    For 2016 High School grads- the term of the contract is 2017-2018 Academic Year (8/19/17- 5/2/18)**

** Housing is not guaranteed beyond the end of the contract term

  The online contract process includes the following:

  • Sign the Residence Hall Contract
  • Select a dining plan (all residential students are required to have a dining plan)
  • Indicate preferences for roommates, visitation patterns and learning community requests
  • Share a little bit about personal habits - if you have a health concern or disability that requires special assignment, please include this
  • Provide vaccination information
  • Pay filing and space reservation fees (If under the age of 18, the signature page will need to be printed, signed and returned with the payment for the filing fee and space reservation fee.)

The contracts are typically due two weeks after the email is sent to you. A confirmation of receipt will be sent to your OSU e-mail address. Typically, assignment information will be sent around mid July.
