Second-Year Study Tables

Second-Year Study Tables is a Residence Life initiative meant to help support second-year students in pursuit of their academic goals. This initiative provides a dedicated space for second-year students to gather to complete projects, study on their own or seek academic guidance from Residence Life Peer Tutors.

Second-Year Study Tables Peer Tutors who have experience in second-year level courses in math, chemistry and physics will be on site to help students if needed.

These certified tutors are upper-class students who have demonstrated aptitude and success in math and science. They are also trained to help students individually or in a group setting. There is no need to schedule an appointment. Drop in to study on your own, complete your homework, meet with classmates or seek guidance from our tutors.

This free service takes place Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (Autumn Semester: August 29th-December 8th; Spring Semester: January 17th-April 24th) from 7-9pm in the Houston House Grove Room.

Dates when Second-Year Study Tables will not be occurring: 3/13-3/19

If you are seeking tutoring help, it is reasonable to expect Second-Year Study Tables Peer Tutors will help with the following:

  • Answer questions
  • Review concepts that may have been confusing in class
  • Let you practice your own work
  • Let you complete your own homework
  • Provide you with strategies that will help you work independently

Second-Year Study Tables Peer Tutors will NOT provide you with answers or do homework for you.

Dates when Second-Year Study Tables will not be offered will be posted on this site in advance.
