You now have the opportunity to submit new housing preferences for the 2024-2025 Academic Year!
As a student who graduated from high school (or educational equivalent) during the 2022-2023 academic year, the housing contract that you signed guaranteeing you a space on campus at The Ohio State University has a contract term of two (2) full academic years:
2023-2024 Academic Year
2024-2025 Academic Year
The information for the housing reselection process is available online and will be available starting at 8:00am on February 16, 2024. The reselection process is all online and paperless (however, for those students under the age of 18, a paper submission is available and required). The deadline to submit your housing preferences for the second year of your housing contract is 5:00pm on February 26, 2024. Unfortunately, late reselection submissions will not be accepted, so you should plan to complete this process before the February 26th deadline.
* Please note, if you do not complete the reselection process, your housing placement will be made by the Housing and Residence Education staff based on space availability.

The $300 contract space reservation fee paid when submitting your two-year term housing contract is being held pending on-campus residence during Spring Semester 2025. Please note that you must have a $0 balance payable and no holds on your University account in order to be able to access the online reselection process.
Next Steps:
Roommate Groups: After spring break those who completed the housing renewal/reselection of their housing contract by the deadline will be emailed and have the opportunity to create and verify a roommate group. You also have the opportunity to search for roommates from other students who renewed/reselected their housing contract. Roommate group size limit is 4 people
Room Select: In early April students will be sent their random timeslot where based on when your timeslot opens you will be able to go out and select a room based on what is still available.
After Room Select Closes: When room select closes for everyone we will shortly after email preliminary housing assignments with roommate contact information. Also at that time the preliminary room change request will open if you wish to put in a change to your housing assignment.
