Move-In 2026

The Ohio State University is looking forward to welcoming our Buckeye Bound students home for this autumn!  All students who plan to live on-campus in the autumn, including incoming first-year students, will receive housing and roommate assignments toward the middle to end of July.

Columbus Campus:

Move-In for the Columbus campus will begin on Wednesday, August 19. All residence halls will be available for Move-In from Wednesday, August 19, through Saturday, August 22.  Students who wish to arrive earlier than their assigned building opens will have the option to pay for an earlier arrival date, as early as August 17, for a $42 daily early arrival fee.  All students will need to schedule a day and time for their arrival through the housing portal.  More information on the arrival process will be available after finalized housing assignments are released beginning around the end of July. 

 Mansfield, Newark and Wooster Campuses:

Students arriving to the Mansfield, Newark or Wooster campuses will be able to arrive to campus beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 22. No early arrivals will be permitted on Mansfield, Newark or Wooster campuses.  All students will need to schedule a time for their arrival through the housing portal.  More information on the arrival process will be available after finalized housing assignments are released beginning around the end of July.
