Resident Mail Services

Students in university residence halls are provided mail service via a front desk or dedicated mail center located in or near their residential community.

Amazon self-service locker kiosks are also available.

How to Address Mail/Packages For Campus Delivery:

To receive mail and packages use the following format for your address:

First Name and Last Name
Room # and Residence Hall
Street Address
City, OH Zip Code

Example:
Brutus Buckeye
2024 Baker Hall East
93 West 12th Avenue
Columbus, OH 43210

Residents must use the name registered with the university. Mail not properly addressed may be returned to sender.  

Package Notification and Pick-Up Procedures:

You will receive an email notification from the university when you have a package to pick up.  Emails from vendors (Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc.) stating the package has been delivered does not mean the package has been delivered to Ohio State. Please wait for an email from the university.

To pick up a package, bring your BuckID to your designated front desk/package center during operating hours.

Amazon Lockers

Amazon lockers are available in several locations around the Columbus campus for package delivery. Select the specific locker location when placing your order on Amazon.com, then receive a pickup code once your package is delivered to the locker. Scan the barcode in the delivery confirmation email or use your Amazon app to unlock a door and retrieve your package.

How to add the Amazon Locker to your Address Book:

• Go to www.amazon.com/ulp
• Put in your residence hall building name (ex: Morrison Tower) or search 43210
• Under filter by click on nearest instead of recommended
• Find locker  
• Check the box that I confirm that I have building access to this private location.  If I don't, my package will be returned to Amazon. This enables the add to address book button for the locker to be added to your address book.
• Repeat the steps to add any additional lockers to your address book

Restaurant / Ready To Eat / Store-to-Door Deliveries 

Front desks and package centers will not accept food deliveries, groceries, or other “store-to-door” items. 

Residents ordering or receiving delivery of food, groceries, or other “store-to-door” items must meet their delivery at the time of arrival. Delivery drivers may not enter residential facilities. 

Food deliveries, groceries, or other “store-to-door” items not picked up within 12 hours may be disposed. Housing and Residence Education is not responsible for items that are missing, opened and/or eaten.
