Residence Halls Remain Open for Fall Break

October 7, 2026


All Residence Halls will remain open during fall break, October 15-16. Staff members will be in the halls during the break and a limited number of front desks will be open. Please visit the Dining website for more information on location hours.

 If you are leaving campus, prepare your room for your departure:

  • Dispose of all trash
  • Close and secure all windows
  • Turn off the lights in your room
  • Lock and secure your doors

Traffic and parking information: Share with anyone picking you up and dropping you off.

  • All regular university traffic and parking rules and regulations apply. To be clear and to help you plan, please remember that:
    • No vehicles may be parked on sidewalks.
    • No unauthorized vehicles may park in ADA parking spaces.
    • All parking spaces and garages on campus require payment as indicated.
    • For specific information regarding parking on campus consult the CampusParc website.

Open Front Desks and Hours:

  • Columbus Front Desks
    • Busch, Morrill, Morrison, Park-Stradley, and Scott will be open 24 hours.
    • Neil will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • All other desks will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14. Houston, Bowen, Smith Steeb, Siebert, Paterson, Canfield, and Residence on 10th will reopen Sunday, October 18. All other desks will reopen on Monday, October 19.
  • Columbus Package Centers
    • Will close at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14.
    • Will be open Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18.
  • Wooster Front Desk  
    • The desk will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14. 
    • Desk will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16. 
    • The desk will be closed on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18. 
  • Mansfield Front Desk  
    • The desk will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14. 
    • Desk will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16. 
    • The desk will be closed on Saturday, October 17 and open on Sunday, October 18 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Newark Front Desk  
    • The desk will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14. 
    • Desk will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16.
    • The desk will be closed on Saturday, October 17 and open on Sunday, October 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
