Orientation Housing Assistant Application Now Available!

Looking for a summer on campus position working within University Housing, check out the Orientation Housing Assistant position.

Orientation Housing Assistants assist with housing and meal accommodations for visiting first year students and their parents or guests as they attend the two day orientation.  They assign students to rooms, print billing statements, prepare the front desk for check-in and submit daily meal counts to the dining commons.  They also staff the MorrillTower front desk and are responsible for answering phones, answering guest questions, filing, and other office duties as assigned.  The Orientation Housing Assistants will also assist with a parent session answering questions regarding housing, meals, and general student life activities.  They may also be asked to assist the dining commons or housekeeping as needed.  They are also auxiliary Housing Services members who will assist the Housing Services Office with projects.  Due to a rotating work schedule those selected for the position will not be able to take summer classes or have other jobs.

Qualifications:  Energetic and optimistic attitude, willingness to learn new things, ability to work independently and with changing schedule, self-motivated planner, working well with others.

Compensation:  Hourly wage of $8.25 per hour for around 30-36 hours per week plus residence hall room and Buck ID deposit for meals.

Contract Duration: May 22, 2017- July 27, 2017 (there will be no Orientation the week of July 2-July 8) Due to the rotating work schedule you would not be allowed to take classes or have other jobs during the contract duration.
