For the 63rd Mack Lecture, ChemTALKS is excited to invite Dr. Graham Cooks to The Ohio State University. Dr. Cooks is a professor at Purdue University and is one of the foremost experts in Mass Spectrometry. Dr. R. Graham Cooks,. a distinguished chemist and professor at Purdue University, is renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the field of mass spectrometry. His work on the development of ambient ionization and tandem mass spectrometry has had a profound impact on the efficient characterization of compounds for medical applications. Notably, his work has allowed for real-time and on-site analysis of human cancer samples to aid during surgery with his development of smaller portable mass spectrometry instrumentation. He is the author of over 1,000 accepted publications and 40 issued patents. He has won various prestigious awards and has been elected into the National Academy of Sciences. His work has been pivotal in advancing the field of analytical chemistry, making him a leading figure in both academic and industrial circles. This lecture series will provide invaluable insights into these cutting-edge techniques and application of his research.
