Join OUAB for a night of spoken word featuring three different artists: Learn more about them below:

Ashlee Haze: is a poet and spoken word artist from Atlanta by way of Chicago. Earning the nickname “Big 30” because of her consistency in getting aperfct score, she is one of the most accomplished poets in the sport of poetry slam. She has been a part of the Atlanta poetry circuit for over a decade and has been writing for over 15 years. Ashlee is a 3-time Queen of the South Poetry Slam champion, 2 –time women of the World Poetry Slam finailish and a 2-time National Poetry Slam semi-finalist. Her sophomore book “Smoke” is schedule for release this fall.

Katie Kramer: is a queer woman, artist, wife, mom, depression survivor and a general good deed enthusiast. She’s toured to LGBT festivals, conferences, and over 400 college campuses for coast to coast, as well as having been a member of a National Poetry Slam Championship team. Katie has been a finalist at the Women of the World Poetry Slam and took second place at The Moth Grandslam storytelling contest.

Ebony Stewart: has performed in 47 states and at over 1000+ schools. Ebony has been vocal in the #BlackLivesMatter movement, as well as talking through coping and ways to be in solidarity and action. The art is still the art and the working topics of mental health, healthy relationships, dating, sexual health, and body image are still important to the work that Ebony does through poetry, storytelling, and discussion.
