Time: Thursday, February 12, 2026 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Location: Suite 1000- Alonso Family Room at Buckeye Commons
In this workshop, students will explore how their sensory preferences influence their daily experiences, learn how to identify when they feel over or under stimulated, and begin building strategies to support regulation in both academic and social environments on campus. Students will have the opportunity to complete interactive activities, use tools for sensory self-discovery, and be part of a supportive environment and community space.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn the basics of sensory processing
- Explore the difference between sensory seeking and sensory avoiding
- Identify your own sensory preferences
- Reflect on campus spaces that support or challenge regulation
- Build confidence in understanding how sensory needs impact mental health, wellbeing, and participation in meaningful activities
