The SOLO Wilderness First Aid (WFA) is a 16-hour hands-on program designed to prepare individuals to manage medical emergencies in remote settings. Key objectives include how to conduct a patient assessment, treating common wilderness injuries/illnesses, making evacuation decisions, and developing confidence to handle scenarios when professional care is delayed. There will be a didactic portion to provide background on common presentations and an outdoors skills portion to practice (rain or shine!).
This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves spending time outdoors and wants to be more prepared to handle emergencies no matter the situation or location!
