A poignant coming-of-age story follows Chiron, a young Black man in Miami, through three stages of his life (childhood, adolescence, adulthood) as he grapples with his identity, sexuality, and the harsh realities of poverty and abuse. He finds moments of connection and self-discovery while navigating a world that pressures him to conform, eventually culminating in a powerful reunion with his childhood friend Kevin that allows him to embrace his true self.
