Standard Housing Rates

Ohio State offers a broad range of housing and dining options so each student can preference for their individual interests and needs.  Students living on campus should expect the following fees:

**Standard Housing Rates are established and approved by The Ohio State University Boards of Trustees based on building amenities, facility renovations, air conditioning, bathroom configuration and room occupancy.

Students should check their University Statement of Account before each session begins. Students are responsible for understanding the fee structures and obligations and for sharing fee information with others, such as parents and/or guardians, who may be paying fees on their behalf. Fees are due at the same time as tuition:

  • Fall Semester: August 13, 2019
  • Spring Semester: January 2, 2020

Housing Fees fall into one of four categories based on room configurations and are visible during the contract process:

[2] A $20 Hall Council Program Fee per semester is assessed to support resident hall student government programs and services.

[3] Students assigned to an academic-year residence hall pay an additional $125 per year, which is not included in these rates. Academic year residence halls remain open during the winter and spring break periods.
